Position Title: Prefronter Department: Business Development Reports To: Manager of Prefront Location / Work Environment: Office-Based / Home Office Work Environment Worker Classification: W-2 Employee FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Job Level: Standard Job Purpose The Prefronter serves as a front-end outreach role within ROMTech's business development and fundraising operations. This position is responsible for initiating outbound contact with prospective investors and qualified professionals, conducting preliminary conversations to assess interest, and scheduling qualified prospects for follow-up with senior team members. The role supports scalable and compliant growth by ensuring that only appropriately qualified and engaged individuals advance through the business development pipeline while maintaining accurate records, adherence to communication standards, and operational consistency. Key Responsibilities Essential Duties Conduct high-volume outbound calls to company-provided lists of accredited investors, physicians, and other qualified prospects. Initiate introductory conversations to present ROMTech's investment opportunity at a high level. Assess prospect interest, alignment, and baseline qualification criteria. Schedule and confirm presentation appointments for qualified prospects. Maintain detailed, accurate, and timely records of all interactions within CRM systems. Track outreach activity including call volume, appointments scheduled, and appointment attendance. Collaborate with business development and closing teams to ensure a smooth transition of qualified prospects. Follow approved scripts, compliance requirements, and outreach processes. Meet or exceed established performance metrics related to calls, contacts, appointments, and productivity standards. Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all communications and business interactions. Utilize CRM, communication tools, and reporting platforms to support outreach effectiveness and pipeline management. Other Functions Assist with data hygiene, record maintenance, and CRM updates. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, coaching activities, and call reviews. Provide feedback regarding outreach strategies, messaging effectiveness, and prospect responses. Support administrative activities related to business development initiatives. Performs other related duties as assigned to support operational and business needs. QualificationsJOB QUALIFICATIONS Skills and Abilities Required Strong verbal communication and active listening skills. Ability to engage professionally with investors, physicians, executives, and other high-level professionals. Comfort with high-volume outbound calling and performance-based environments. Strong attention to detail in documentation and recordkeeping. Ability to manage repetitive tasks with consistency and accuracy. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, CRM platforms, and communication tools. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Preferred Experience working in investment, financial services, healthcare, or medical technology environments. Familiarity with sales scripts, objection handling, and call frameworks. Experience using CRM reporting, analytics, and pipeline tracking tools. Knowledge of fundraising, investor relations, or capital-raising processes. Work Experience Requirements Required Minimum of five (5) years of experience in telesales, business development, lead generation, appointment setting, or related outbound prospecting roles. Demonstrated experience conducting cold outreach to physicians, executives, high-net-worth individuals, or similar professional audiences. Preferred Experience in fundraising, capital raising, investor relations, or financial services environments. Experience in startup, growth-stage, or entrepreneurial organizations. Education Requirements Required None. Preferred Bachelor's degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. License and Certification Requirements Required None. Preferred Professional sales, business development, or financial services certifications. Physical Demands and Working Conditions Office Environment Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. Moderate noise (i.e., phone calls, online meetings, computer audio).
