Trailer Technician

 Job Duties: 

• Inspect trailers as they come off the road and process driver write up’s. 
• Preform PM’s and general repairs. 
• Perform DOT inspection. 
• Inspect and Repair King pin assembly as necessary 
• Test and repair steering systems 
• Maintain hydraulic systems and Pony Motors. 
• Trouble shoot and Repair electrical systems 
• Repair and Maintain Air Brake system and Air Suspension system 
• Inspect frame and chassis for structural cracks. 
• Other job duties as designated by Shop Director. 

Physical Requirements: 

• Work is considered heavy physical work requiring exertion of 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently and up to 20 pounds of force consistently to move objects. 
• Must possess strength, stamina, and mobility to perform heavy physical work.
• Must be able to: walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel and crouch for extended periods of time 

Job Requirement: 

• Minimum Five (5) years trailer maintenance experience 
• Driver’s License 
• Must Possess your own set of tools
