The Night Supervisor is responsible for overseeing overnight store operations, ensuring product replenishment, inventory accuracy, operational efficiency, safety compliance, and store readiness for opening. This position provides leadership to overnight associates, coordinates stocking activities, and helps maintain company standards while supporting a safe, productive, and customer-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities Store Operations- Oversee all overnight store operations and stocking activities.
- Ensure shelves, displays, and sales floor areas are stocked according to company standards.
- Coordinate freight processing, merchandising, and product replenishment activities.
- Monitor workflow and labor allocation to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and ready for business each morning.
- Assist with receiving, unloading, and staging deliveries as needed.
- Supervise, train, coach, and develop overnight associates.
- Assign daily work responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Provide leadership and direction to team members throughout assigned shifts.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
- Assist with onboarding and training new associates.
- Address associate concerns and communicate operational priorities effectively.
- Ensure proper inventory handling, stocking, and replenishment procedures.
- Verify product placement, shelf conditions, and inventory accuracy.
- Assist with inventory counts, audits, and discrepancy investigations.
- Monitor out-of-stock conditions and communicate inventory concerns to store leadership.
- Help minimize shrink through proper inventory control practices.
- Execute merchandising plans, planograms, and promotional displays.
- Ensure pricing labels, signage, and promotional materials are accurate and displayed properly.
- Maintain department and store presentation standards.
- Prepare seasonal and promotional displays according to company guidelines.
- Verify all areas are customer-ready prior to store opening.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and operational procedures.
- Conduct safety inspections and address potential hazards immediately.
- Ensure associates utilize proper lifting techniques and safety equipment.
- Support loss prevention initiatives and asset protection programs.
- Maintain a safe and secure overnight environment for associates and company assets.
- Communicate overnight accomplishments, operational issues, and priorities to store leadership.
- Complete required reports, logs, and documentation accurately.
- Report maintenance concerns, equipment issues, and safety incidents promptly.
- Collaborate with department managers and store leadership to ensure operational continuity.
