The Role

The FP&A Intern will report into the Director of FP&A. This will be a paid full-time internship.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaboration with functional leaders across the company to evaluate progress towards Steel’s strategic and financial objectives
  • Support monthly forecasting, budgeting, and management reporting processes by performing variance analysis
  • Building Excel-based financial models, and analyzing manufacturing KPIs, standard costs, CapEx, and working capital drivers
  • Assist FP&A and site finance teams with data extraction from ERP systems, cash flow and liquidity analysis, dashboard reporting
  • Ad-hoc analyses to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursing a degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
  • Dynamic, outgoing personality along with a very positive attitude and desire to provide excellent support
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to interface well with all departments at all levels both internally and externally
  • Critical thinking skills and attention to detail
  • Highly self-motivated, persistent, dependable, and independent
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
  • Knowledge of a computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation software (MSWord, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, MS Outlook)
