Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer Intern will be exposed to a broad range of assembly processes. The intern will be mentored by an experienced Manufacturing Engineer.
Responsibilities
- Create process diagrams and standard work for assembly operations
- Design jigs/fixtures as needed for assembly of parts
- Specify equipment for assembly of complex finished goods
- Audit BOM and routings for accuracy in ERP software
Qualifications
- Pursuing BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Passionate about manufacturing processes
- Ability to complete individual assignments as well work as in a team environment
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively
- Must have transportation to and from the internship
Goals and Learning Experiences: Throughout this internship, the candidate will be immersed in a manufacturing organization, experiencing every operation. The intern experience will include but is not limited to:
- Injection Molding
- Blow Molding
- Assembly
- Robotic value add activities
- Solid modeling
- 3D printing
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, and listen. The employee will frequently be required to stand and walk; use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: This position works in an office setting, a development lab/shop area and on the production floor and works around dust, oil, electrical/ pneumatic/hydraulic devices, and mechanically moving parts. Safety glasses are required while on the plant floor. Certain areas of the plant require hearing protection.
