Are you passionate about helping people feel welcomed, supported, and cared for? Care Alliance Health Center is looking for a Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our team and serve as one of the first points of contact for our patients.

As a PSR, you will play an important role in helping patients access the care they need while creating a positive, respectful, and patient-centered experience from the moment they arrive or call.

 

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will support front desk operations, patient registration, scheduling, and daily clinic workflows. You will work closely with patients, families, clinical teams, and administrative staff to help ensure services are delivered efficiently and with compassion.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and checking in patients in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Verifying and updating patient demographic and insurance information. 
  • Registering new patients and ensuring required documentation is completed. 
  • Scheduling, confirming, and rescheduling appointments. 
  • Answering patient questions by phone and in person. 
  • Helping manage patient flow and supporting a positive clinic experience. 
  • Collecting co-pays and processing payments as needed. 
  • Maintaining accurate information in the electronic health record system. 
  • Supporting administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, and record management. 
  • Protecting patient confidentiality and following HIPAA requirements. 
  • Collaborating with clinical and administrative teams to support daily operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED 
  • At least one year of customer service or front desk experience, preferably in healthcare 
  • Basic understanding of medical terminology and clinic workflows 
  • Familiarity with co-pay collection 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using electronic health records, preferably Epic
