Cleveland Warehouse - Dock Worker

Goodwill Industries of Greater Cleveland & East Central Ohio is hiring a full-time Dock Worker for their East Cleveland warehouse.

Essential Functions:
1. Assist truck driver in transporting and handling materials, merchandise, or equipment.
2. Manually load and unload material from trailers and sort in prescribed manner.
3. Arrange articles to form a compact load, to secure goods and prevent breakage.
4. Check to see all outgoing ADC's, stores, and support departments are properly equipped.
5. Exchange propane tanks as needed.
6. Keep dock area and warehouse operating safely. Adhere to agency safety/security policies, procedures, and practices. Wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE).
7. Handle all donations carefully and take them to the proper area within the warehouse.
8. Place specific trash in regular or metal dumpster or compacter as assigned.
9. Ensure that all warehouse inventories are tracked, counted, and inputted into SPOC daily.
10. Embodies DGR MODE Guiding Principles.
11. Ends every donor interaction with "You changed a life today, thank you!"
12. Follows all agency safety policies and guidelines. Actively participates with supervisor and team members to address identified safety concerns.
13. Other such duties as assigned.

Specific Experience/Skills/Abilities:
• Tow motor experience preferred.
• Ability to judge distance, speed, and movement of objects.
