JOB SUMMARY

The Electrical Engineering Co-op/Intern role is an educational opportunity for an Engineering student to work alongside senior engineers in the design and development of RF Coils utilized in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI). This role will be responsible for individual and team assignments and will work with cross-functional teams to design, develop and manufacture complex MRI systems and components throughout all phases of the product development life cycle.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in the electrical design and analysis of RF coils
  • Verification and validation of electrical design, including supporting engineering builds and testing
  • Exposure to manufacturing processes
  • Hands-on involvement in the building and testing of RF coil subsystems
  • Create, review and release formal engineering documentation

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

Required

  • Currently enrolled and 3+ semesters pursuing a degree in electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, physics or related fields.
  • Experience with electrical design

Preferred

  • Prior professional internships, relevant lab or university experience a plus

 

Skills and Abilities

Required

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook and internet
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fast learner with ability to multitask
