Birch Agency is seeking a compassionate, dedicated, and student-focused Intervention Specialist to support early childhood students (Kindergarten2nd Grade) in the Cleveland, Ohio area. This is an exciting opportunity for a special education professional who is passionate about helping young learners develop the academic, social, and emotional skills they need to succeed.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans.

• Provide specialized instruction and individualized support to help students achieve academic and social-emotional goals.

• Deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate instruction tailored to early childhood learners.

• Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, specialists, and families to support student growth.

• Adapt curriculum, instructional materials, and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles and abilities.

• Assess student progress and use data to adjust interventions and instructional approaches.

• Support students in developing independence, confidence, and positive learning habits.

• Maintain accurate documentation while ensuring compliance with special education requirements.

What You Bring

• Experience working as an Intervention Specialist, Special Education Teacher, or in a related role.

• Strong understanding of early childhood development and effective instructional practices.

• Ability to create a warm, structured, and supportive learning environment.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Patient, adaptable, dependable, and student-centered approach.

• Ability to support students through positive behavior strategies and relationship-building.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.

• Valid Ohio Special Education teaching license/certification.

• Previous experience working with students with special needs preferred.

• Strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

• Familiarity with classroom safety and sanitation guidelines.
