Property Manager of Permanent Supportive Housing
Making a Difference Through Housing
The YWCA Greater Cleveland is looking for a Property Manager of Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) to oversee affordable housing communities at Independence Place on Prospect and Cogswell Hall on Franklin.
This is more than a traditional property management position. You'll help create safe, stable, and welcoming housing environments while building positive relationships with tenants, supportive service providers, community partners, and staff. If you are an organized, compassionate professional who understands that housing stability is an important foundation for individuals to thrive, we'd love to hear from you.
What You'll Do
- Manage the tenant application, leasing, move-in, and move-out processes.
- Maintain compliance with HUD, LIHTC, ADAMHS, OHFA, HOME, HOPWA, and other housing program requirements.
- Maintain accurate tenant records, rent rolls, re-certifications, vouchers, and required reports.
- Monitor rent payments and lease compliance and work with tenants and service providers to address concerns and support housing stability.
- Conduct regular property and unit inspections and coordinate follow-up on maintenance, housekeeping, and safety concerns.
- Supervise the PSH Coordinator and housekeeping staff or contractors.
- Work closely with supportive services, maintenance, legal counsel, and community partners to resolve tenant and property concerns.
- Respond professionally to tenant questions, concerns, and challenging situations.
- Support approved tenant notices, repayment agreements, terminations, and eviction processes.
- Help maintain a safe, respectful, trauma-informed environment where tenants are treated with dignity and respect.
What We're Looking For
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least two years of related work experience.
- Experience in nonprofit, social services, affordable housing, or property management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Experience working with the population served.
- Ability to communicate in multiple languages.
We're especially interested in candidates who bring strong organization, attention to detail, communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. You should be comfortable working independently, making sound decisions, resolving conflicts, and working with people from diverse backgrounds.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Yardi, or OnBase is helpful.
What You Can Expect
This role is based at two YWCA Greater Cleveland PSH properties and requires approximately 25% travel, along with occasional evening or weekend events. A valid Ohio driver's license, good driving record, proof of insurance, and reliable personal vehicle are required.
You will work in a trauma-informed environment where professionalism, empathy, appropriate boundaries, safety, dignity, choice, and trust are essential to the way we serve others.
