Pay: $17/hour

Position Overview: Responsible for ALL receiving activities including fabric receipts, inventory items, production supplies, and miscellaneous.  The distribution of all items to their correct location, and the entering of each receipt into the company’s software computer system with 100% accuracy in a timely manner is critical to success.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Able to drive forklift and standup tow motor in a safe and proper manner.
  • All incoming shipments of goods must be received, entered, and put away within 24 hours.
    • Fabric orders have a key level of accountability in that each roll has a unique lot # that needs to be accurately entered into the computer system and tagged accordingly.
  • Unload trucks, record receipts into TCM, make tags for raw materials, and put goods away into their appropriate bins (or deliver to the appropriate area/person).
  • Next Day Air receipts must be handled immediately.
  • Maintain material handling devices appropriately.
  • Ensure security of building entrances at the dock.
  • Maintain a neat, clean and orderly dock area.
  • Work hand in hand with Purchasing.
  • Work hand in hand with Inventory Control.

Non-Essential Job Functions:

  • Able to help out with Inventory projects or in the shipping department if slow
  • Other duties as assigned

Training:  Provided on the job by Inventory Control Specialist, Purchasing, and Warehouse Lead

Qualifications:

            Education & Certifications:  High school diploma or GED required

            Experience:  2+ years in shipping or receiving

Key Competencies: Great attention to detail, great attendance and dependability, teamwork, flexibility, initiative, organizational skills, personable, communication (both verbal and written email), analytical thinking, and goal oriented.  Takes pride in their work and feels ownership for their scope of responsibility.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for a significant amount of the day, walk frequently with pace, and lift 40 pounds.

Working Conditions: Warehouse environment with close proximity to outside overhead dock doors, and constant background noise
