Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room
Location: Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center, 10701 East Blvd, Cleveland, OH 44106
Pay Rate: $81.00 per hour
Contract Length: Base Year + 1 Option Year

Job Summary:
We are seeking qualified Emergency Room Registered Nurses to support the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. This role is part of a critical staffing initiative to maintain high-quality patient care during the VA’s transition to the new Federal Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The RN will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department and work closely with the interdisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical setting. 

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Document care accurately and timely in accordance with VA standards
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program (ACEN or CCNE)
• Current Ohio RN license or current multistate license from a Nurse Licensure Compact state
• Current CPR certification through an American Heart Association vendor
• Current BLS certification
• Current ACLS certification required for Emergency Department assignment
• Minimum 2 years of direct patient care experience within the last 3 years

Preferred Qualifications:

• VA experience preferred
• Specialty certification preferred
• Prior Emergency Department or acute care experience strongly preferred
