Centers for Dialysis Care is seeking two experienced Financial Counselors to work at multiple locations (Cleveland - East & Beachwood - Garfield, Warrensville & Oakwood). These positions are onsite.

Position Overview
Obtain and maintain insurance coverage for patients with End Stage Renal Disease. Assist patients with transportation and travel arrangements.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Maintains patient insurance records.  Documents patient interactions in the clinical record and billing system.
  • Communicates accurate and complete insurance information required for claim submission to the Manager, Revenue Cycle. Communicates regularly the status of problem resolution to the Manager, Revenue Cycle and other clinical staff as appropriate.
  • Evaluates insurance coverage and identifies gaps. Meets with patients, reviews coverage and options and assists patients in applying for available insurance coverage. Coordinates management of insurance issues with the Insurance Coordination Specialist. Obtains and maintains insurance coverage for patients.
  • Assists patients with dialysis transportation arrangements. Arranges out of town dialysis for patients desiring to travel. Coordinates arrangements for incoming transient patients.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Experience with Medicare and Medicaid application and eligibility requirements
  • Experience with commercial insurance coverage
  • Experience with End Stage Renal Disease insurance eligibility strongly preferred
