The Thomas Hill Energy Center is accepting applications for our General Utility candidate pool. This posting is intended to build a pool of qualified candidates for future interview and hiring consideration as openings become available.

As a General Utility, you will support safe, efficient plant operations through general labor, cleaning, grounds maintenance, and team support at Thomas Hill Energy Center.

What You’ll Do

Perform plant, coal yard, and grounds cleaning and general labor.
Mow and maintain grounds using tractors and equipment.
Help with painting, hauling trash, and plant upkeep.
Operate a vacuum truck to remove fly ash.
Support multiple departments and write work requests as needed.

What You’ll Need

High school diploma or GED required.
Minimum of one-year industrial mechanical or electrical background
Obtain passing result from the applicable pre-employment test(s).
Basic computer skills required.
Experience in plant operations, industrial work, or power generation, is preferred.
