Position requires training on 1st shift 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday for 4-6 weeks and then move to 2nd shift. 2nd shift hours are 4:00pm-2:30am Monday-Thursday with a 15% shift differential.Â
Overview:
As a Plating Operator you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on setting up, operating and tending to plating tanks.
Responsibilities
Job duties include plating, coating and passivating metal parts using various chemical solutions to meet specification and customer requirements. Understanding chemistry is a plus but training will be provided. Work environment requires personal protective equipment: safety glasses, gloves, apron etc. Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Â
Experience:
Ability to read and write in order to interpret production documents and accurately record required information such as part number, lot number, special instructions and process sequences. Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division using a learned method or calculator. Ability to understand verbal instructions in order to take work direction and accurately manufacture products.Â
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Compensation: $16.00 - $22.00 per hour based on experience
