Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days- totaling 80 hours worked- and have every other Friday off

 

 

Responsible for full lifecycle Project Engineering support for a range of software and hardware development, assembly, integration, test, and production efforts.

 

Essential Functions:

 

•      Responsible for successfully leading a large, cross-disciplinary, project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments.

•      Develops, oversees, and coordinates the cost/schedule/technical aspects of an ongoing engineering project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.

•      Reviews status of engineering projects and budgets, manages schedules, drives execution, identifies opportunities, and delivers results through achieving payment milestones.

•      Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.

•      Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.

•      Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.

•      Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.

•      Understands how to develop a schedule using Earned Value (EV) and manage a project using the Earned Value Indicators on a DCMA surveilled program (highest rigor applied).

•      Participate in large teams and perform a wide variety of tasks to drive execution (e.g., value stream mapping activities).

•      Must have ability and willingness to work in a collaborative team environment on quick reaction projects and will have regular contact with customers.

•      Reports/communicates program performance to senior level management, as well as externally, to the program customer.

•      Leads engineering proposal efforts for follow-on Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs), and new program pursuits.

•      Work under the direction of an Enterprise level Project Engineer, to meet business area objectives.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
  • Active Secret Security Clearance.

 

Preferred Additional Skills:

 

  • IPTL/CAM Professional experience
  • Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution
  • Experience in managing multi-discipline programs
  • Experience in engineering development, integration, production/manufacturing programs (inclusive of SW, HW, FW)
  • Experience managing projects with total budgets of $50M+
  • Experience in managing a team Integrated Product Team Leads (IPTL) and driving labor resources in a matrix organization
  • Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management
  • Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities, including cost estimation and technical proposal management
  • Experience leading DOD Government Contract development programs
  • Experience or knowledge of Government contract acquisition lifecycle a plus
  • Experience with management of design to cost activities
  • Experience with operations and/or manufacturing activities
  • Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques
  • Program Management Institute – PMP certification desired or internal CAM/IPTL/PL certifications
  • Experience in Electronic Warfare (EW) development programs

 

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in New Jersey is $127,500 - $236,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
