Job DetailsJob Location: Farmbrooke Manor - Clinton Twp, MI 48035Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00 HourlyAbout the Role The Assistant Community Director (ACD) supports the Community Director in overseeing daily property operations with a primary focus on rent collection, financial reporting, and operational accuracy. This role also assists with leasing, marketing, resident relations, and team coordination to ensure the community meets occupancy, revenue, and service goals while delivering an exceptional resident experience. The ACD works closely with the onsite team to support performance, compliance, and a positive community culture. What You’ll Do Financial & Collections Responsibilities •   Lead and support rent collection efforts, ensuring timely and accurate posting of payments and follow-up on delinquent accounts in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. •   Assist with financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end accounting activities. •   Monitor resident accounts, identify discrepancies, and escalate issues appropriately to the Community Director. •   Support budgeting and operational efficiency through accurate tracking of revenue and performance metrics. Leasing & Resident Relations •   Assist with leasing activities, including tours, application processing, applicant qualification, and lease preparation. •   Oversee lease renewals and retention efforts to support occupancy and resident satisfaction. •   Build strong relationships with residents and provide exceptional customer service in addressing questions or concerns. •   Serve as a resource for residents and support resolution of issues in collaboration with leasing and maintenance teams. Marketing & Community Presence •   Support marketing efforts and maintain the community’s online and local presence to attract qualified prospects. •   Participate in resident events and community engagement initiatives to foster a strong sense of community. Team Coordination & Compliance •   Collaborate with leasing and service teams to ensure smooth daily operations, unit readiness, and timely resolution of resident issues. •   Ensure compliance with Fair Housing laws, company policies, and local/state regulations. •   Assist with onboarding and training of team members as directed by the Community Director. •   Represent Acme Residential professionally in all interactions and support the Community Director with daily operations and special projects. Operational & Performance Expectations The Assistant Community Director contributes directly to the financial and operational success of the community by supporting the following benchmarks: •   Support monthly revenue and rent collection goals. •   Assist the onsite team in achieving year-to-date Net Operating Income (NOI) goals. •   Coordinate with maintenance and leasing teams to ensure units are move-in ready according to property schedules. •   Perform daily responsibilities in a manner that supports quarterly financial commitments, operational standards, and resident satisfaction. •   Help maintain: Physical Occupancy of 95% or greater Economic Occupancy of 90% or greater Rent collections of 95% or greater Other Duties •   Support the Community Director with daily operations, reporting, and assigned projects. •   Represent Acme Residential with professionalism, integrity, and a resident-first mindset. •   Perform other duties as assigned to support property operations. What You Bring •   2+ years of multifamily property management experience, with collections or financial responsibilities preferred. •   Bachelor’s degree preferred. •   Experience with Yardi Voyager and/or Rent Café CRM IQ preferred. •   Strong communication, organizational, and relationship-building skills. •   Knowledge of Fair Housing laws and ability to apply state and local regulations. •   Ownership mindset; treat the community as your own business and demonstrate initiative in improving operations and resident experience. •   Experience with distressed or value-add properties a plus. •   Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and commitment to personal and team growth. •   Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform these functions. •   Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while performing administrative and resident service duties. •   Ability to walk the property for extended periods, including use of stairs and uneven surfaces. •   Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull items weighing up to 25 pounds. •   Ability to perform ongoing computer-based work, including data entry and electronic communication. •   Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in person, by phone, and in writing. •   Ability to work both in an office setting and throughout the residential community, including entering residential units as needed. •   Minimal travel is required, limited to onboarding and occasional training at the corporate office in Bloomfield Hills or training sites within the Metro Detroit area (e.g., Warren, Troy).
