Closed Molded Infusion Technician

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Infusion Technician is responsible for the proper glass thickness and glass-to-resin ratio on infused: small parts, lids, consoles, finders, stringers, decks, and hulls. The technician is also responsible for ensuring the quality of the finished part and providing leadership for the crew.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Distributes properly catalyzed resin evenly into injection ports.
• Helps train new team members as well as helping all team members stay focused and motivated.
• Ensures the crew starts up on time at the beginning of the shift.
• Observes and adjusts the catalyst level as environmental conditions require.
• Performs daily cleaning and minor maintenance routines of equipment, spray guns, and bags.
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required:    High School Diploma or Equivalent

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

• Ability to work as a Team
• Ability to read and follow written Instruction
• Ability to troubleshoot
• Coordination simultaneously
• Ability to distinguish basic colors/shades
• Hearing (aid permitted)
• Must have no fiberglass allergies
