Lead Sales Associate 

LOCATION: Clinton

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time/Non-Exempt/Regular

HOURLY WAGE $12

Goodwill Industries--Knoxville, Inc. is seeking full-time Lead Sales Associates for our retail store in Clinton. Ideal candidates will be energetic, flexible, have excellent customer service skills, and be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen.

Summary: 

Complete opening and closing duties of the store and to provide support for other team members in the absence of the Manager/Assistant Manager.

Customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure open and close store procedures are followed.
  • Support/direction of other team members in store task.
  • Responsible for store operation, in the absence of Manager/Asst Manager.
  • Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, and thank donors for their donated items.
  • Processing: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items. Sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
  • Cashiering: Conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions by following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
  • Cleaning duties (including but not limited to) floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters. Report issues that require maintenance repairs.
  • Customer service activities (including but not limited to) customer assistance, pricing merchandise, fitting room, offering recycling bags, explaining store operations, and other sales techniques that may enhance the store’s sales and community image.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
