Job SummaryÂ
This job group's main responsibility is to keep machine tools, both CNC and conventional equipment, operating as designed. The job requires skills in troubleshooting and repairing pneumatics, hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.Â

Essential Job Duties and ResponsibilitiesÂ
Repair and replacement of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical components, which includes ball screws, linear motion guides, high precision spindle bearings, transmissions, pumps, motors, servo drives, switches, and wire harnesses.Â
Inspection and re-alignment of CNC equipment.Â
Identify, order, and replace worn components.  This includes locating replacement parts for the manufacturer's equipment when possible.  capable of cross reference of NON-OEM repair parts. It also includes working with tool personnel to repair parts when necessary.Â
Knowledge of machining and CNC operation is required.  Must be able to program CNC equipment to run and test machine functions.Â
Must be able to read and understand schematics, ladder diagrams, and blueprints.  The use of indicators, multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and gauges is required.Â
Advanced machine fault diagnostics abilities. Read, understand, and modify base CNC operating parametersÂ
The use of computers and file transfers is also required.Â
Other tasks include operating tow motors, platform lifts, aerial boom lifts, and cranes. Knowledge of electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and gravitational energy sources is required along with following proper safety procedures (LOTO).Â
Light rigging and machine movingÂ
Must have ability to learn and be adaptable to a changing environment while maintaining effectiveness.Â
Must be able to communicate and work well with production personnel, vendors, and service technicians.Â
Education and Experience RequirementsÂ
A High School diploma is required.Â
Certification or Technical School Course Completion in Machine Tool Service, Repair, or related course preferred.Â
Must have 6 years machine tool repairing/rebuilding experience.Â
