Description of Work

The Tarheel Challenge Academy (TCA), positions are located in Salemburg, Sampson County. These positions work collaboratively to ensure continuous and adequate supervision, accountability, control, training, safety and well-being of cadets 24 hours/day, 7 days/week while cadets are in the residential phase of the program.

The purpose of this position is to assist the nurse in providing medical and health service to students and staff in relation to activities at the Academy and other locations as scheduled which will include schedule rotation every other week including weekend coverage, on-call, call back and night premium pay (if applicable). Conduct student and staff training on a variety of health subjects. Research, interpret, and apply regulatory material, monitor and manage safety practices and procedures. Prepare written reports.

Management Preferences   

  • Experience utilizing the basic skills of patient care procedures, sanitation, personal hygiene, common health, or safety precautions.

Military Experience
