As a student of the Supplier Quality Engineering team, you will be an active contributor to reducing supplier-related production disruptions and advancing our digital transformation by integrating key quality systems with our supplier communication platforms.
Job Description
What you’ll do (Job Responsibilities)
- Support shop floor operations by identifying and resolving quality issues to ensure seamless production flow.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) on non-conforming parts to prevent recurrence and improve overall product quality.
- Lead a technical project to integrate internal quality management systems with our supplier communication center.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement and manufacturing, to drive process improvements.
- Assist in monitoring and reporting on supplier quality metrics to identify trends and areas for development.
- Support the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) in coordination with suppliers.
- Document technical findings and process updates to maintain compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze data from quality systems to generate actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)
- Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Systems Engineering).
- Demonstrated ability to perform data analysis and troubleshoot complex technical problems through academic projects or prior relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) to track data and create presentations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interface with cross-functional partners.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site at the facility full-time to support shop floor operations; this role does not involve travel.
- Must be willing and able to work in a manufacturing shop floor environment, including exposure to noise and industrial equipment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.
