Job DetailsJob Location: Clinton TN - Clinton, TN 37716Position Type: Full TimeJob Purpose Statement:  A member of the work team with cross-functional responsibilities which provides support to the assigned team assuring quality product and daily schedule attainment.  Serves as a facilitator to the work team in areas of problem solving, issue resolution, continuous improvement, and training.   Ensures a safe working environment is maintained at all times.  This position will be accessible to the production floor 95% of the time.  Must be willing to learn all jobs on team to cover for absences or relief.    The Team Leader coordinates with other work cells and departments to meet production requirements of the company and needs of the customers, with accountability for results in terms of cost, methods, quality, and quantity of production, operations and personnel.  Requires excellent focus, high energy and enthusiasm, forward thinking, strong analytical capability, excellent problem solving, the ability to manage change, solid execution and a commitment to help the company meet financial objectives and exceed customer expectations.    This job description identifies the roles and responsibilities for each Team lead Level, L1, L2, L3 and L4.                                    Team Lead- Level 1:   As a hands-on leader, the team leader monitors and assists in completing production and assembly as needed.  Oversees and directs a production team on a scheduled shift.   Communicate effectively with management and employees to meet customers’ needs or demands.  Assist in the training of new employees.   Ensures safety and quality policies and procedures are followed.  Ensures production meets the organization's targeted goals.  Schedules employees for the assigned work shift and conducts safety or training programs for employees.   Monitors productivity, machinery and the employees' work to suggest improvements in the production process.   Update and maintain production reports for tracking and keeps production and operations manager aware of the production area's performance, as needed/or required.  Assist the Supervisor/Manager with employee adherence to company policies and procedures.   Understands and supports the foundational operations disciplines of safety, 5S, lean manufacturing and standard work.   Other duties as assigned.  QualificationsPersonal Trait Profile  Ability to provide clear and concise oral and written communication   Ability to practice at a high level of confidentiality   Ability to organize and prioritize work  Ability to influence and lead employees and translate the vision of the company  Goal/Results Oriented   Self-starter- minimal supervision required  Team Player  Multitasking     Education, Experience and Skills Required:   High School diploma or GED required    Prefer 2 years in a manufacturing/distribution operation   Ability to work with cross functional teams to address issues related to production or quality   Critical thinking skills to evaluate complex and changing situations leading to the recommendation and implementation of a course of action    Able to train quickly through on the job experience with a hands-on approach   Verbal and written communication skills to report performance to management   Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while meeting production and quality goals   Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift or equipment license as needed or required   Must read, write and communicate in English    Ergonomic & Physical Requirements:    Must be able to meet the Ergonomic as well as the Physical Base Score for this position.    Standing or Walking up to 90% of the day  Lift / Carry 25lb constantly, up to 100lb occasionally  Push / Pull 50lb constantly, up to 150lb occasionally  Grasp 75lb   Pinch 15lb   Lift bulky objects  Any lifting over 70 lbs. must be completed with assistance i.e. mechanical or individual.   Full range of motion required:  Cervical, Shoulders, Elbow, Wrist, Fingers, Hands, Truck Twist, and Feet.   Ability to wear PPE as required  Working Conditions may include: moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, static shock, high temperatures.
