Job Description

Typical Functions

  • Staff admissions desk and assist full-time guest services associate with daily duties
  • Handles direct sales to the public, including operation of the cash register and credit card machines
  • Maintain positive relations with visitors, being courteous, respectful, and exercising flexibility to best serve the public during all work activities
  • Gives visitors an introduction to the museum
  • Gives guided tours as needed
  • Recruits and services group tours
  • Occasionally attends industry group travel events and sales markets to promote museum
  • Maintains group tour records and databases
  • Helps plan and present programs and special events
  • This position does require a work schedule to include the weekend and extended hours during the summer and special events

 

Education and Experience
