Job DetailsJob Location: Clintonville, WI 54929Under the supervision of the Engineering & Maintenance Manager the Lead Fleet Maintenance Mechanic will be responsible for the fleet of vehicles and supervision of the designated fleet maintenance mechanics tasked with performing preventative and corrective maintenance on that fleet of vehicles, including but not limited to freight delivery trucks, forklifts, automobiles, scissor lifts, boom lifts, mobile cranes, golf carts, and grounds maintenance equipment at Walker Forge & Precision Thermal Processing. Qualifications An associate’s degree from an accredited technical college in Diesel Equipment Technology or Diesel Truck Technology or a technical diploma from an accredited technical college for Diesel Equipment Technician, Diesel Engine Technician, or Diesel Truck Technician and a minimum of five years’ experience are required in the repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, forklifts, construction equipment, or agricultural equipment. The position may require additional external or internal training in specialized areas as appropriate. This position requires strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with knowledge of diesel engine systems, electrical and hydraulic systems, and proficiency with diagnostic tools. The ability to read and interpret documents such as work instructions, blueprints, parts diagrams, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics, preventative maintenance documents.
