Position Description

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dependable and proactive Day Porter to join our team. The Day Porter plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, welcoming, and safe environment throughout the day. This position involves light cleaning, restocking, and responding quickly to cleanliness and maintenance needs as they arise during business hours.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of high-traffic areas
Restock restrooms and supply areas with paper products, soap, and other necessities
Empty trash cans and recycling bins throughout the day
Spot clean spills, smudges, and messes as they occur
Keep common areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, break rooms, and kitchens clean and orderly
Respond promptly to service calls or requests from building occupants
Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies
Ensure building entrances and sidewalks remain clean and clear of debris
Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor or facility manager

Requirements:

Must be authorized to work in the United States
Prior janitorial, porter, or maintenance experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and customer service skills
Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods
Professional appearance and demeanor
Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
Must be able to pass a background check (if required)

Preferred Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Familiarity with proper cleaning techniques and safety procedures
