Position Overview

The Vibration Technician supports the reliability and performance of rotating equipment across the mill by conducting vibration analysis, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and assisting with predictive maintenance activities. This role plays a key part in maintaining safe, efficient, and reliable operations.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma/GED and either:
    • 2 years of relevant industrial maintenance experience, or
    • 2‑year degree in industrial maintenance or industrial controls
  • Ability to pass an entry‑level vibration analysis exam
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems on rotating equipment and recommend effective solutions
  • Aptitude for analyzing technical problems using mathematics and a basic understanding of mechanics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO Category I Vibration Analyst certification with at least one year of experience
  • Experience with CSI analyzers and vibration data collection systems
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies, including:
    • Oil analysis
    • Infrared thermography
    • Ultrasound technologies (UE)
  • Familiarity with Precision Maintenance Best Practices
