We are looking to add a Bilingual Group Leader - 3rd Shift to our team. The Group Leader assists in the development, training, evaluation, and work schedules of employees within a given area. This role also provides support to the shift or department supervisor in achieving daily and monthly goals in safety, quality, accuracy and production. The Group Leader will be responsible for expediting work orders through the manufacturing process, accurate production reporting and maximizing resources while reducing scrap/rework. We are looking for highly motivated individuals with strong prioritization and organizational skills.

This individual should be able to speak both English & Spanish.

Pay ranges from $30-35/hr based on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of production workers to ensure high-quality manufacturing standards and meet production goals.
  • Plan and assign production tasks to team members based on workload and priorities.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections of production equipment and machinery to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and work with maintenance and engineering teams to resolve technical problems.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Maintain accurate records of production quantities, downtime, and material usage.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing training to existing staff on safety procedures, production techniques, and equipment usage.
  • Ensure production schedules are met and provide regular status updates to leadership.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as quality control and logistics, to ensure smooth production and timely delivery of products.
  • Perform other duties as required to improve production operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree or higher in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • Able to speak English and Spanish
  • Proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, and inventory management.
  • Experience with production scheduling software or enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
     

Working Conditions

  • This position conducts their work in a manufacturing environment with limited exposure to the outdoors. The manufacturing environment consists of various types of equipment including stamping presses, roll formers, laser cutting, and standard sheet metal fabrication equipment.
  • Physical requirements for this position – This role is required to be able to lift to 50 pounds. There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds. In addition, this position requires standing, lifting, bending, and twisting, walking, sitting, squatting, reaching above shoulders, and climbing.
  • Direct reports - This role leads a team of production workers, including machine operators, assemblers, and other production staff.
