POSITION SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

 

Our Muskegon Site is seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to maintain the site’s inventory accuracy and lead the site’s maintenance work order program.

 

This positions primary responsibilities are to schedule and assist with cycle counts, perform inventory transactions, analyze production variances, and assist in the preparation and execution of the site’s annual physical inventory.  This position will also perform daily/weekly data entry of maintenance work orders.

 

The ideal candidate will need excellent communication skills, the ability to work well with others, understand data entry skills, and preferably have experience in maintaining accurate inventory.  The candidate will maintain positive work relationships with members of the department and other teams to whom information is provided or from whom information is gathered.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

    • Monitor and correct inventory discrepancies through use of the ERP system, cycle counting, and collaboration with the warehouse, production and maintenance teams.
    • Monitor and production transactions for accuracy, working with production and warehouse teams to correct errors when necessary.
    • Complete weekly and monthly reporting on production and inventory metrics
    • Enter and maintain maintenance work orders in the ERP system, working with the maintenance team to ensure accuracy.
    • Assist in preparation for, and execution of the site’s annual physical inventory
    • Back up the production scheduler when needed

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    • HS Diploma or GED
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)
    • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with internal and external parties. 
    • Ability to work under pressure and within schedules to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
    • Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at one time.
    • Ability to work without supervision.

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • SAP experience. 
    • 3+ Year experience working in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in performing cycle counts or inventory tracking.

 

 POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    • 1st shift – 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
