Position Summary:
The Operations Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of multiple recovery homes and organizational facilities to ensure safe, efficient, compliant, and mission-driven service delivery. This position provides leadership for property management, facility maintenance, transportation, safety, inventory, and operational systems that support recovery, reentry, and community-based services. This position ensures all facilities, housing environments, and operational processes support high-quality services, resident well-being, and organizational growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee operations of all recovery homes, office locations, and program facilities.
  • Ensure buildings are safe, clean, secure, and maintained according to organizational standards.
  • Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
  • Coordinate repairs, renovations, and inspections.
  • Ensure recovery homes operate in compliance with organizational policies, licensing requirements, and applicable housing standards.
  • Monitor occupancy, room assignments, and housing utilization.
  • Support House Managers in maintaining safe, recovery-oriented living environments.
  • Respond to operational emergencies involving housing facilities.
  • Assist with development and implementation of house procedures and standards.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations affecting facilities and housing operations.
  • Provide supervision for house managers and other facility staff. 
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory management, and asset tracking
  • Oversee organizational vehicles and transportation services.
  • Ensure vehicles are properly maintained, insured, and compliant with applicable regulations.
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to address facility and operational needs.
  • Participate in team meetings, trainings and program planning
  • Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, Human Services, Social Work, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred. 
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Understanding of housing operations, residential program management, and property oversight, including risk management, and safety procedures.
  • Familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations affecting nonprofit organizations, housing programs, and recovery-oriented services.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Valid driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Lived experience with incarceration is highly preferred

  • Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm. Must be available to work evenings/weekends as needed.
  • Pay commensurate with experience
