This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking a qualified candidate for the role of   Analyst, Operations/Production, and Support Supervisor. This role will be located at our Clyde, OH manufacturing location. This role will be 3rd Shift 10am to 6pm M-F.
In this role you will lead team members and process partners to achieve key goals and objectives. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall operations for Stamping, Cabinets, & Finishes departments on Midnight Shift 10pm to 6am. You will primarily be focused on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Engagement. This position will lead efforts to achieve KPIs, implement WCM methodologies, develop employees, and lead continuous improvement activities.Â
Your responsibilities will include
- Develop Area Coordinators and Group Leaders; Develop Talent and succession plans. Provide input for personnel ratings as required
- Ensure all policies and procedures are enforced and administered fairly and consistently.Â
- Serve as the key communication link with the other shifts to facilitate a smooth transition of data and clear communication of problems/issues
- Manage financial budgets, including: Labor costs, Employee recognition spending, and PPE expenses
- Build a culture of continuous improvement by implementing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) MethodologiesÂ
- Provide direction and assistance in problem solving activities for your team.
- Maintain a working knowledge of operational processes and interact with leaders throughout the organization
- Proactively recognize and address problems. Prioritize issues and deploy resources to meet objectives established by Leadership
- Special assignments and responsibilities as assigned by your people leader
Minimum requirements
- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of manufacturing leadership experience or, in lieu of the Degree, a High School Diploma or GED and 5+ years of manufacturing leadership experience
Preferred skills and experiences
- Familiarity with Whirlpool policies and employee relations procedures
- Proven success in a fast-paced environment
- Proven success in the personal development of employees
- WCM (World Class Manufacturing) experience, focus on SAF/WO/AM/QC
- Working knowledge of plant manufacturing operations, processes and production flow
- Resolve a wide range of safety, quality, production, logistical and human relations problems by analyzing, observing and interpreting situations and data in a timely manner
- Possess a proven track record of exceptional supervisory experience and demonstrate strong leadership, human relations, and team facilitation skills
- Interact effectively with all levels of employees and management
- knowledge of the company’s operations policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Kronos, SAP, Google applications, etc
- Understanding of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) systematic pillars (SAF, AM/WO)
- Value the diversity of ideas, opinions, experiences, backgrounds, and perspectives needed to foster a competitive global business environment
- Mechanical aptitude to build relationships with the Maintenance Organization
