Join our outpatient rehabilitation team of over 25 clinicians (physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech language pathology) in one of our 3 outpatient locations.Ā  At Haywood Rehabilitation, we value excellent patient care that ensures optimal outcomes, a collaborative team environment and a culture of respect.Ā  We employ a variety of specialty trained clinicians and feature one-on-one patient care.Ā  We offer flexibility that may include non-traditional schedules to best meet patient and employee needs.Ā

How you’ll contributeĀ Ā 

A Physical Therapist (PT)who excels in this role:Ā 

Ā 

  • Performs initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition.Ā 

  • Establishes a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient according to his or her capabilities and desires.Ā 

  • Plans, prepares and carries out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve or restore physical functioning, alleviate pain and prevent physical dysfunction in patients.Ā 

  • Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.Ā 

  • Directs and supervises physical therapy assistants, students, and other support personnel. Assesses competence, delegates specific tasks, and establishes channels of communication.Ā 

  • Evaluates, fits, and adjusts prosthetic and orthotic devices and recommend modifications.Ā 

  • Identifies and documents goals, anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation.Ā

What we’re looking for Ā 
Applicants should have a current state PT license and possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited school. Additional requirements include:Ā 

  • Basic Life Support certification is required within 30 days of hire.Ā 

  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Ā 

  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Ā 

  • Affiliation with the American Physical Therapist Association (APTA) recommended.Ā
