Job DetailsJob Location: Coal County General Hospital - Coalgate, OK 74538Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: DayPOSITION SUMMARY: The Nurse Assistant is responsible for the activities of daily living to patient under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. He/she must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the needs of the patient. The nurse assistant must possess the ability to function in role to assist the licensed practical nurse in the provision of technical and environmental patient care activities as delegated by and under the supervision of the licensed staff. Must be Certified or eligible for Nurse Aide Certification. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Demonstrates knowledge of activities of daily living for the delivery of patient care. Continually assesses data regarding patients status and interprets the information needed to identify the patients needs to assist in the determination of appropriate levels and types of care. Participates in the application and maintenance of current patient treatment plans. Delivers care based on identified needs and as directed by the licensed staff. Prioritizes patient care activities to deliver safe, effective care in a timely manner. Administers treatments effectively and skillfully. Effectively evaluates the outcomes of interventions and implement necessary changes to care. Assists other team members in providing patient care. Assists in the patients discharge planning, with other members of the care team. Communicates patient care information to appropriate person(s) accurately and timely. Documents data collection, interventions and evaluations of care accurately, objectively and timely. Enlists assistance from licensed staff for assessment, initiation of plan of care and performance of skills, as indicated. Serves as an advocate for patient/families in regard to decisions affecting the plan of care. Performs other duties as assigned. QualificationsMust have CNA Certification
