Job DetailsJob Location: Coal County General Hospital - Coalgate, OK 74538Position Type: Full TimeJob Shift: AnyPOSITION SUMMARY: The overall purpose of the Environmental Service Supervisor is to ensure the maintenance of aseptic, safe and attractive environment within all facilities of CCGH/CCEC. He/she is additionally responsible for the supervision of the laundry department. The Environmental Service Supervisor is responsible for ensuring adherence to established federal, state, local, Medicare and Title XIX standards and regulations. He/she is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and administering all activities of the organizations environmental service program.   ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains adequate shift coverage by scheduling employees for shifts to ensure the facilities are thoroughly cleaned and maintained. Evaluates and observes the quality of work performed in all areas of the facilities and through visual inspections performed daily. Evaluates and implements policies and procedures in accordance with all state and federal regulations. Creates and prepares quality improvement reports monthly based on daily observations, reports substandard conditions to the quality improvement committee on a semi-monthly basis. Ensures an effective staff by interviewing candidates, recommending candidates for hire. Develops and implements programs to effectively train employees in accordance with departmental and facility policies and procedures to provide an attractive and safe environment. Prepares and conducts performance evaluations, verbal and written counseling and other disciplinary actions as needed. Evaluates new supplies and equipment to facilitate the purchase of quality products. Prepares requisitions for supplies in accordance with facility policy and procedures. Performs any other duty as assigned. QualificationsManager Experience Required
