We are currently seeking a full-time Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team at Coalinga State Hospital located in Coalinga, CA. Monday- Friday 8am - 4:30pm $30.00 per hour + medical, dental and vision The Addiction/Substance Abuse Counselor is responsible for coordinating all substance abuse/addiction program activities in a correctional setting to include providing intake, assessment, treatment planning, and group and individual counseling. Please contact recruiter Mary at mary@teamcenturion.com for more information Indmhm Qualifications• Bachelor's degree required; bachelor's degree in a human services or related field preferred • Must have Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) certification or be actively working toward attaining a substance use credential within two (2) years of hire • May substitute higher education for experience but must hold a four-year college degree and possess a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC) • Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening • Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) • Ability to pass and maintain a security background clearance
