As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operation by managing shipping and receiving documentation, and ensuring accurate records are kept. Also managing customer pick-ups, shipping and system transactions.

  • Responsible for following company GMP and Safety guidelines and SOP’s
  • Communicate effectively with customer service and transportation departments regarding the picking schedules, order status and required documentation.
  • Ensure proper verification of the driver's identity and order details before dispatching loads.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate shipping, and pick-up documentation.
  • Process ASN (as needed) bills of landing, sales orders and other related paperwork to dispatch loads.
  • Maintain electronic/digital records for compliance and audit purposes.
  • Address customer inquiries regarding pick-up procedures and order status.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including warehouse and sales, to ensure smooth operation.
  • Resolve any issues related to documentation, delays or incorrect shipments.
  • Process transfers and receipts in the system as needed.
  • Update, track status of incoming and outgoing shipments on board assignments and WMS.
  • Assist Supervisor in validating shipping and receiving orders, inspecting items, trucks and documentation before final dispatching. 
  • Any other tasks or projects may be assigned by the Supervisor or Manager.
Requirements:
  • Availability to work from Mondays to Fridays and overtime if necessary.
  • Fully Bilingual (English / Spanish)
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently with minimum supervision.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or general education diploma (GED) recommended.
  • Experience of 1 to 2 years in administrative support is recommended. Preferably in logistics, warehouse, distribution center environment.
  • Utilize knowledge and requirements of Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • Experience working with a WMS system.
  • Be able to communicate in English (writing and speaking).
  • Willingness to work overtime and/or Saturdays.

Abilities and Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills that are necessary to work in a customer-focused working environment.
  • Good organization and business administration skills, attention to detail, and willingness to improve, learn and adapt in accordance with the modern practice methods are some of the other required skills.
  • Manage time effectively, as they may need to handle multiple functions and meet deadlines consistently.
  • Function independently with minimal supervision and should be self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team as well as independently
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook), especially Excel.
  • Strong commitment to company goals and values.
  • Friendly and positive attitude.
