WoodMaster Portable Buildings, a division of Tuff Shed, Inc. is recruiting for a Delivery Manager located at our plant location.

The Delivery Manager has overall responsibility for the plant’s daily deliveries, fleet vehicles, and maintenance, ensuring consistently high and efficient levels of customer service to both internal and external customers, and enforcing FMCSA rules and regulations. 

The essential functions for this position include but are not strictly limited to:

  • Ensures customer interactions with drivers are positive and cultivates sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Reviews driver’s daily schedules.
  • Manages delivery scheduling team.
  • Partners with sales on customer opportunities.
  • Reviews driver pictures of deliveries, monitors GPS for unsafe driving behaviors, and responds to any driver-related issues.
  • Ensures expense reporting is completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensures compliance with all DOT rules and regulations.
  • Works directly with mechanics to ensure all vehicles meet DOT standards.
  • Reviews daily driver logs to ensure compliance.
  • Reviews added and removed items on driver’s schedules.
  • Follows up with any customer concerns.
  • Ensures required permits are in place.
  • Manages third party contract delivery services.
  • In order to perform the above functions, the Delivery Driver must be present in the Plant, as scheduled, (including some weekends) and work all required hours

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong understanding of customer service and delivery procedures.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • Ability to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Hands-on computer skills in Microsoft Office and Internet applications required; experience in utilizing Customer Relations Management (CRM) software – including Oracle, JDE, Onyx, Salesforce.com, Goldmine or similar systems is highly preferred
  • Ability to solve problems using sound logic and good business judgment
  • Ability to use arithmetic, mathematical, accounting and financial tools as they apply to Tuff Shed business
  • Ability to read, write and understand instructions given orally, in writing and/or in diagram form
  • Ability to prepare written correspondence and reports that create a professional image for Tuff Shed
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels, including customers, business partners, suppliers, co-workers, managers, and the general public

EXPERIENCE

  • 5 years of experience in a management role in a logistics and supply chain environment.

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or related field is preferred.

LICENSES

Must have valid driver’s license and acceptable MVR

Travel:

This position requires routine travel to customer and company sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFYING SKILLS:

  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screening following conditional offer of employment
  • Must pass a pre-employment background screening following conditional offer of employment
