Pay: $21.73 per hour
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 3 years of related experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
- ICC Permit Technician certification within 12 months of employment required.
Necessary Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Building Codes, the Unified Development Ordinance and the Design and Construction Manual.
- Knowledge of construction products, materials and methods.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both oral and written communications.
- Ability to use and prepare reports utilizing Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, CityView, and other software as applicable.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents, GIS maps, right of way/easement information, legal descriptions and land surveys.
- Ability to use the City’s web based GIS software
- Ability to provide fair, consistent and timely customer service.
- Ability to take a positive approach to problem solving and bringing issues to closure.
- Ability to promote a positive, cooperative and professional and effective working relationship with the customers of the Development Services Department.
