REAL ESTATE CLOSER / PARALEGAL聽

Goldman, Monaghan, Thakkar & Bettin, P.A. is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Real Estate Closer / Paralegal to join our growing legal team in our Cocoa office. This position plays a critical role in supporting our Real Estate Counsel throughout the lifecycle of real estate transactions, from contract preparation and due diligence through closing and post-closing activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple transactions simultaneously while maintaining exceptional accuracy and client service. Prior transactional real estate paralegal experience is essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Prepare and coordinate all documents required for commercial real estate closings, including deeds, transfer documents, bills of sale, closing statements, affidavits, and other closing instruments.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Draft Real Estate Purchase Agreements based on executed Letters of Intent.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Review and analyze title commitments, surveys, zoning reports, and other due diligence materials.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Draft and prepare lease-related documents, including:
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Memoranda of Lease
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Lease Amendments
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Estoppel Certificates
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Subordination, Non-Disturbance and Attornment Agreements (SNDAs)
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Review, summarize, and analyze lease agreements and purchase contracts.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Manage transaction timelines by creating and maintaining detailed closing checklists and tracking all critical deadlines.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Coordinate all aspects of commercial real estate transactions from inception through closing and post-closing.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Handle post-closing responsibilities, including title policy updates and closing file completion.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Review surveys and assist with development and split-funded transactions.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Communicate with buyers' counsel, lenders, brokers, title companies, surveyors, and other transaction participants to facilitate timely closings.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Serve as a liaison between the Legal Department and internal teams, including Development, Leasing, and Asset Management.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Assist with disposition files and tenant-related requests, including estoppels, SNDAs, and other lease administration matters.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Draft professional correspondence to clients, outside counsel, tenants, governmental agencies, and third parties.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Organize and maintain complete and accurate electronic and physical transaction files.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Provide administrative and legal support to Real Estate Counsel as needed.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned to support departmental objectives.


Qualifications, Education & Experience
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Bachelor's degree preferred; or
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Associate's degree with a Paralegal Certificate; or
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Minimum of five (5) years of real estate transactional paralegal experience required.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Experience handling complex commercial real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, and closings is strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Paralegal Certificate
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Thorough understanding of commercial real estate transactions, title review, surveys, and closing procedures.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Strong knowledge of lease documentation and due diligence processes.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Exceptional organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems.
路聽 聽 聽 聽 聽Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with attorneys, clients, and internal departments.
