Scheduler Professional Associate

The COMET contract provides overall management and implementation of ground systems capabilities, flight hardware processing, and launch operations at NASA's Kennedy Space Center (KSC) in Florida. These tasks will support the International Space Station, Ground Systems Development and Operations, and the Space Launch System, Orion MultiPurpose Crew Vehicle, and Launch Services programs.

Responsibilities:

Fully demonstrates all requirements from preceding career‑progression roles, applying advanced scheduling knowledge, judgment, and independence gained through previous Scheduler and related experience. 

Independently coordinates with Engineers, Planners, Flow Managers, and Shop Leadership to develop, update, and post daily operational schedules with minimal supervisory oversight. This includes ensuring alignment with integrated operational timelines such as KICS, Artemis flight plans, and O&M activity windows. 

Performs integrated, data‑driven, resource‑loaded planning to support stakeholder requirements across multiple facilities and operational areas. Ensures accuracy, completeness, and traceability of scheduled work packages, resource allocations, and milestone dependencies.

Integrates daily with Operations Managers, Engineers, Planners, Schedulers, and external customers to coordinate and reconcile schedules across multiple agencies, maintaining horizontal and vertical integration across project and operations environments. 

Identifies scheduling conflicts and collaborates with stakeholders to develop workaround solutions, mitigating impacts to critical path activities and maintaining schedule execution integrity. 

Works across interdepartmental organizations to build complex project work schedules supporting aerospace system development, facility operations, and flow‑critical activities. 

Contributes to long‑range and near‑term planning efforts by incorporating operational constraints, readiness drivers, and facility availability. 

Demonstrates proficient working knowledge of Maximo, Primavera, and Solumina, using these systems to retrieve, update, validate, and integrate workflows, resource data, and work authorization documentation.

Qualifications :

Bachelor’s in a related degree field (e.g., Business, IT, Eng.) and at least three years related experience; or at least seven years of experience in areas such as management analysis, schedule analysis, and project control functions.

Essential Functions:

With minimal supervision, coordinates with Engineers, Planners, Flow managers, Shop leadership to build and post daily schedules 

With minimal supervision, performs integrated data driven & resource-loaded planning to support stakeholder requirements

Integrates with operations managers, engineers, planners, other schedulers, and external customers to coordinate multiple agency schedules

Recognizes and collaborates conflicts into workaround solutions to minimize schedule impact

Collaborates with interdepartmental agencies to build complex project work schedules for the development of aerospace systems

Possesses a proficient working knowledge of Maximo, Primavera and Solumina

Physical Requirements

Position may involve extended periods of sitting or standing.

Physical requirements are sitting, walking, standing, extensive use of stairs, and access to remote structures. Position is located on a hazardous testing facility; must be able to quickly evacuate buildings in the event of an emergency.

Work Environment

Will be required to work inside and outside throughout the test complex. Position may require the individual to travel to different areas on site.

Walking on uneven terrain including paved areas, gravel/rocks, and dirt/ is required to access various locations on the facility.

All work must be completed in a safe manner in accordance with NASA and Company safety standards.

Attendance

Position may require overtime including weekend and holidays, depending on task. Must be dependable and punctual.

Shift work may be required.

Other Essential Functions
