Job Summary

The Senior Manager, Supply Chain leads a team responsible for end-to-end supply chain program execution across a portfolio of development, production, and sustainment programs. This role is the primary interface between the Program Management Office (PMO) / Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Supply Chain, accountable for program material cost, schedule, delivery, and supplier performance, including Earned Value Management (EVM) alignment, Estimate-at-Completion (EAC) rigor, and risk/opportunity management.

Job Responsibilities

• Supply Chain leadership role accountable for material program management across a portfolio of aerospace and defense contracts, spanning development, production, and sustainment
• Leads a team of Material Program Managers and sets the execution standard for forecasting, EAC discipline, performance metrics, and risk management
• Requires strong business acumen, influence in a matrix environment, and the ability to drive decisions and outcomes across engineering, operations, quality, finance, and contracts
• Establishes and institutionalizes standard work, governance, and operating cadence to improve predictability, accountability, and cross-functional alignment
• Champions continuous improvement of tools, data, and processes to reduce execution friction, improve supplier performance, and drive affordability outcomes

Job Responsibilities Part II

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Material Program Managers supporting multiple programs and lifecycle phases
• Serve as the senior supply chain representative to the Line of Business, aligning material strategies to program priorities and customer commitments
• Establish operating rhythm and performance reviews across supply chain and cross-functional stakeholders (Operations, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Contracts, Subcontracts)
• Own program material budgets, baseline integrity, and performance reporting (material EAC, forecasting, variance analysis) for the Line of Business
• Drive disciplined participation in program financial processes (EAC cycles, AOP commitments, material sales forecasting as applicable)
• Ensure EVM-compatible planning and objective performance measurement for supply chain scope (where contract requires)
• Develop and execute program supply chain strategies (make-buy, sourcing, subcontracting, capacity, lead-time, obsolescence, and continuity of supply)
• Ensure acquisition and subcontract plans align to Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) milestones and delivery requirements
• Direct supplier performance management, recovery plans, and escalation paths for cost/schedule/quality issues
• Build and maintain program supply chain risk/opportunity register; lead mitigation plans and track to closure 
• Provide support to the Proposal Strategy and Material Estimating team: supply chain inputs, material pricing strategy, Basis of Estimate (BOE) support, and compliance packages
• Ensure compliance with government and customer requirements (e.g., FAR/DFARS, ITAR, flow-downs, small business considerations, audit support)
• Partner with Contracts and Legal to ensure compliant supplier agreements, data requirements, and change control

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of relevant experience in supply chain, material program management, subcontract management, program management, or operations in an aerospace/defense environment
• 3+ years of people leadership experience (direct team leadership strongly preferred)
• Demonstrated success managing program material cost and schedule performance (forecasting, EAC, variance drivers, recovery execution)
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment with executive-level communication skills

Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree (MBA or technical discipline)
• EVM/EVMS experience and/or Cost Account Manager (CAM) exposure
• Experience supporting proposals and complex captures (BOE development, should-cost, supplier strategy, negotiation support)
• Working knowledge of MRP/ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data-driven supply chain metrics dashboards
• Active or ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (Secret or higher), as required by program

U.S. Citizenship required. This position requires an active DOD security clearance or the ability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time after commencement of employment.
