Job Description:

Under the direction of the Facilities Shift Supervisor the incumbent adjustments, repairs, troubleshoots and maintains all HVAC equipment and systems.    

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 
 

  • Must adhere to the Seminole Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Performs all preventive maintenance on systems and maintains applicable log books.
  • Conducts walk-through inspections; of all HVAC equipment to insure proper operation.
  • Maintains quality of air, air flow and temperature at on and off-site facilities; adjusts valves to regulate temperature of lubrication oil and flow of water through system.
  • Records gauge readings, repairs completed and time lost due to inoperative equipment.
  • Maintains technical logs and records all relevant data as appropriate.
  • Knowledge of Seminole Coconut Creek Casino’s policies, procedures and schedules to insure minimal interruption to business operations and to prioritize projects appropriately.
  • Promotes positive public/employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Performs all other related and compatible/non-compatible duties as assigned.

Must possess excellent hand/eye coordination as well as close vision.
 
Must maintain current EPA Universal technician certification as required by 40 CFR part 82 subpart F and possess a basic mechanical aptitude
 
Must be able to read, understand and interpret schematics, plans, and diagrams and drawings.
 
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
 
 
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
 
 High school diploma or technical certificate as well as a minimum of three (3) to five (5) years experience with commercial/industrial HVAC equipment or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
 
Prolonged period of walking, reaching, climbing and moving/carrying weight of up to 100 lbs.
 
Must be able to work in high/precarious places, be near fiberglass insulation and electrical current.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those as employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
 
Position requires possible exposure to electric shock and frequent work in high heat and cold weather conditions. The noise level is moderate.
