Carpenters

Job Description:

LaRiviere inc. is looking for experienced and  dependable carpenters . Duties will be new builds, installations, and repair of structures.  Pay is depending on experience and work history.

Most jobs are local in the North Idaho / Spokane Washington Region. Some regional travel may be required dependent on projects.

Responsibilities: 

• Interpreting blueprints and building specifications to map out layout
• Measuring, cutting, and shaping wood, plastic, and other materials
• Constructing building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes
• Erecting, leveling, and installing building framework with the aid of rigging hardware and cranes
• Inspecting and replacing damaged framework or other structures and fixtures
• Instructing and directing laborers and other construction trade helpers
• Collaborating with architects and other construction professionals
• Ensure adherence to safety and compliance codes
• Maintain work area clean and organized, ensuring maintenance of tools and equipment

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a carpenter
• Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials
• Proficient in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools (powered saws, hammers, rulers etc.)
• Ability to read technical documents and drawings
• Willingness to follow safety guidelines at all times
• Good understanding of basic math
• Good physical condition and endurance
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift, climb ladders, bend, and lift up to 50lbs. 
• High school diploma; Successful completion of a carpentry apprenticeship program is required
