Job Description: Lawn Sprinkler Installer

Location: Cohoes, New York
Pay: $18.00 per hour to start
Transportation: Transportation to and from work is provided (a company car may be assigned to a worker with a valid driver’s license)
Housing: Optional shared employee housing available at low cost

Position Overview

Sprinkler Installers assist in building and installing residential and commercial sprinkler systems. This is a physical, outdoor job that requires reliability, teamwork, and the ability to work in all weather conditions. Training is provided.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Build sprinkler systems from start to finish, including digging holes and connecting sprinkler heads, valve boxes, and related equipment
2. Install drainage and lighting systems
3. Check irrigation lines as needed
4. Follow all safety procedures and use equipment properly
5. Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

1. Must be 18 years of age or older
2. Must pass a drug screen and background check
3. No prior experience required—training is provided
4. Driver’s license is not required but is a plus
5. Must be able to work outdoors in variable weather and temperatures
6. Must be able to stand, walk, crawl, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and use hands/arms to grasp and carry equipment
7. Must be able to see, hear, and verbally communicate clearly
8. Must be able to lift 70 pounds regularly
9. Must have continuous ability to hear and speak
10. Must have strong visual acuity, including near vision and depth perception
11. Must have manual dexterity to operate all necessary equipment

Worksite Provides

1. Job training
2. Uniform T‑shirts and sweatshirts
3. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): ear protection, eye protection, gloves
4. Rental housing (4 employees per apartment; no single rooms)
5. Transportation to and from work

Employee Must Bring:

• Work pants
• Work boots

• Arrive on time and maintain good attendance
• Complete work duties quickly, efficiently, and safely
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance
• Treat co‑workers, supervisors, and housemates with respect
• Follow all company policies at the jobsite and in employee housing
• If you quit or are terminated, you must leave employee housing immediately; travel home is at your own cost
