Maintenance Supervisor (Assistant Role)

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Maintenance Assistant Supervisor to support the Maintenance Manager in overseeing daily maintenance operations. This role is responsible for helping lead the maintenance team, ensuring equipment reliability, minimizing downtime, and maintaining compliance with safety and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Maintenance Manager in supervising and guiding the maintenance team
• Assist in training team members and driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure timely maintenance and repair of equipment to maintain operational efficiency
• Execute and support preventive maintenance programs to meet safety and compliance standards
• Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify issues and prevent downtime
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and implement effective solutions
• Recommend and implement improvements to optimize plant maintenance performance
• Collaborate with external contractors, vendors, and internal departments
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Skills & Abilities

• Strong hands-on experience with mechanical systems (electrical expertise highly preferred)
• Proven leadership and team management skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Associate degree or higher in a related field preferred
• Minimum 5 years of maintenance or facility experience
• At least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role
• Experience in food manufacturing is a plus
• Certification such as Certified Maintenance & Reliability Technician (CMRT) is preferred
