Job Description Summary
Organizational Summary:The Department of Decision, Operations, and Information Technologies at the Robert H. Smith School of Business, University of Maryland, College Park invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position. We are seeking applicants who are working on cutting-edge research in AI and its applications in business and policy. Preference will be given to candidates who are coming in with some experience at the assistant professor level or at the associate professor level. The rank and tenure status are dependent on the candidate's qualifications.
Candidates must have a Ph.D., and a track record (commensurate with experience) of high quality research in AI with applications to business and policy. We are particularly interested in candidates whose work reflects a cohesive program of research in AI with a clear trajectory as demonstrated by publications in leading journals and AI outlets, working papers and a research statement that aspires for cohesive and thematic impact. Successful applicants will be expected to continue to conduct impactful and inspirational research, deliver high-quality teaching to undergraduate, MBA, MS, and PhD students and participate in service activities for the department, school and/or university.

Candidates should have a Ph.D. and an established record of research excellence commensurate with experience. Applicants are also expected to provide evidence of excellent teaching skills, including the ability to incorporate the latest insights from research and practice into existing and new courses.
