Global Engineering & Technology (GET) is searching for a Task Area Manager to lead a team of highly dedicated declassification analysts and support staff in providing specialized technical services to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in College Park, Maryland.

DUTIES

The Task Area Manager manages contractual efforts in their defined program/task area(s) to ensure responsiveness to job requests, including:

  • Providing resource management for all contractor employees
  • Assessing workload on a weekly basis and re-assigning staff as needed to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Ensuring quality and quantity of work
  • Frequently interfacing with the Federal customer to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring administrative staff are cross-trained in different administrative duties to provide adequate coverage during peak workloads

Experience:

  • The candidate must have a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in project management. This may be a combination of private sector, civil service, or military experience.
  • Experience in quality assurance, development and implementation of progress measurement tools, and a detailed knowledge of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, Executive Order 13526, and DOE classification regulations and policies are required for this position.

Education:

This position requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college in such fields as one of the engineering disciplines or physical sciences.

Security Clearance:

The candidate must have a current DOE Q or Top Secret / SCI security clearance
