Job DetailsJob Location: College Station, TX 77845Position Type: Full Time As a Light Display Technician, you are a vital part of the team responsible for creating, maintaining, and preserving the park’s one-of-a-kind light displays. This role includes building new displays, maintaining existing displays, supporting seasonal installations, and ensuring the Trail of Lights and all park displays remain safe, functional, and visually exceptional. This position requires creativity, attention to detail, physical stamina, safe work habits, and a positive, team-oriented attitude. Hours Full-time position (40 hours per week unless otherwise directed). During peak times of year, longer weekdays, weekends, and holiday work is required. Essential Job Duties Maintain, repair, and preserve all light displays throughout the park, including replacing light strands, repairing damaged displays, cleaning, repainting, touch-ups, and removing weeds or vines Create, build, and install new light displays according to approved designs and company standards Assist with seasonal setup, installation, troubleshooting, and takedown of displays and related equipment Assist with basic troubleshooting of lighting systems, timers, and electrical connections. Properly store all characters, displays, lights, and materials during the off-season Safely lift, move, transport, and handle displays, characters, and supplies throughout the park Inspect displays, equipment, and work areas for safety concerns and report issues immediately Operate groundskeeping equipment, including push mowers, riding mowers, weed eaters, and leaf blowers Clean facilities by removing trash, hazardous materials, and debris Assist with general cleaning tasks, including power washing and related upkeep Provide general labor support, including: Lifting and moving materials, displays, equipment, and supplies Preparing and cleaning up project sites Cleaning equipment and performing routine maintenance Loading and unloading materials Digging trenches and holes Land clearing Assist other workers or contractors as needed to support successful project completion Follow all safety rules and use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Operate equipment, tools, and vehicles in a safe and professional manner Monitor supply inventory and communicate needs to supervisor Perform other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned Follow all instructions and direction provided by your supervisor Job Requirements & Expectations Execute tasks consistently, efficiently, and with high standards of quality Maintain attention to detail and ensure displays meet company quality standards Observe the condition of surroundings, tools, equipment, and displays to help maintain a safe work environment Use supplies, equipment, time, and company resources responsibly and cost-effectively Communicate effectively with supervisors and managers regarding concerns, attendance, scheduling, or work issues Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, and a positive work ethic Maintain professional work attire and conduct at all times Possess basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and techniques used for installation, repairs, and maintenance Remain flexible and adaptable as assignments and priorities change Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality Handle personal business on personal time only Seasonality of Santa’s Wonderland Santa’s Wonderland is a seasonal business, and daily operations, schedules, and responsibilities may vary based on the time of year and park needs.
