SBC President 

Midland, TX. - Midland Downtown


JOB OVERVIEW:


The President is the senior most executive of the organization, and is to lead the organization such that top-line revenue and net income consistently grow. Growth is to be done within the approved risk parameters. The President is to ensure that all the necessary resources are in place in order for SBC to grow its current business as well as to provide strategic direction for future growth. 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Lead the SBC team by way of example of personal work ethic and integrity and by adhering to the policies and procedures of SBC and AMB. 
  • Be familiar with all SBC and AMB policies and procedures that are required for the position.
  • Be aware and knowledgeable of market competition, and be prepared to make adjustments to the business as needed.
  • Have a working knowledge of all positions, and be available as a back-up when necessary.
  • Work with the Business Development Officer to assist in generating new business.
  • Assist the Operations Manager and Operations team when necessary.
  • Work with the Credit Manager when needed to ensure timely credit decisions.
  • Conduct performance reviews of direct reports and ensure all reports are being held to account.
  • Assist the Operations Manager, if needed, to work with the Bank’s information technology, human resources, and safety and security associates to ensure SBC is operating at optimal capacity and is providing a safe and secure workplace.
  • Work with the appropriate AMB and SBC associates to prepare the SBC budget and strategic plan.
  • Implement any and all policy requirements as directed by the SBC Managers.
  • Provide recommendations for changes, updates, or adjustments to SBC policies and procedures to lower overall risk and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Lead and manage the SBC, LLC. Manager’s meetings as required by the SBC, LLC. by-laws.

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field.
  • Minimum five years prior experience with a factoring company or related industry with at least two in a management capacity, operational capacity, and credit underwriting capacity.



KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: 

 

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Proficient in JHA Cadence software
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret professional, financial, and legal documents. 
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions and deal with an assortment of variables. 
  • Ability to collect and analyze data in order to define and solve problems. 
  • Organizational skills and ability to balance several ongoing projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to communicate in a clear, concise manner. 
  • Ability to successfully handle difficult customer interactions. 
  • Professional oral and written communications skills for communicating and building relationships with contacts.
  • Provide leadership within the organization by leading by example of personal work ethic and integrity.

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Work is performed in a general office/banking environment. 
  • Regularly required to use hands, feel, and reach with arms, walking, standing, hearing, talking, reading, writing, and carrying up to 10 lbs.
  • Position requires sitting at a desk for extended periods of time.
  • Attention to detail and mental concentration are necessary for accurately performing tasks, working in a stressful and fast-paced environment, and handling frequent interruptions.
  • Willingness to adapt to frequently changing environment is required. 
  • Must on occasion deal with emotional and/or concerning behavior from other staff and be able to respond calmly and professionally.
  • The noise level when performing this job is typically low to moderate. 
  • Some outside travel by automobile to client offices and AMB branches is required.
