JOB DUTIES


1. Clinical Care Delivery

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to pediatric, adolescent, and adult patients.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments, treatment planning, and progress documentation.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions for behavioral health conditions including, but not limited to:

ADHD, PTSD, depression, anxiety disorders.

• Develop age-appropriate therapeutic approaches for children under 10 years old, including familycentered interventions.

• Provide crisis assessment and intervention services as needed.

• Clearly document treatment plans and recommended follow-up care in a manner understandable to

patients and families.

• Complete and sign clinical documentation in accordance with payer and organizational timelines (e.g.,

within 48 hours where required).

2. Care Coordination & Collaboration

• Collaborate with primary care providers, specialists, and care team members to ensure integrated

patient care.

• Communicate effectively with referral sources and internal teams in a professional and timely

manner.

• Support continuity of care through appropriate follow-up, referrals, and coordination.

3. Practice Operations & Patient Experience

• Provide services in both in-person clinic settings and via HIPAA-compliant telehealth platforms.

• Maintain flexibility to meet patient access needs, including same-day or urgent behavioral health visits

when appropriate.

• Contribute to patient-centered care delivery and improved access to mental health services.

4. Quality, Compliance & Improvement

• Maintain compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and organizational policies.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical best practice reviews.

• Ensure patient confidentiality and strict adherence to HIPAA and organizational standards.

5. Team & Culture Contribution

KNOWLEDGE

• Developmental stages and age-appropriate therapeutic interventions across the lifespan.

• Behavioral health conditions in pediatric, adolescent, and adult populations.

• Trauma-informed care principles, including TBI-related behavioral and cognitive impacts.

• Cultural competence and the ability to serve diverse patient populations.

• Electronic health records (EHR) systems and clinical documentation standards.


SKILLS

• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.

• Crisis management, de-escalation, and safety planning skills.

• Ability to engage and build therapeutic rapport with pediatric patients and their families.

• Time management, prioritization, and clinical documentation efficiency.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within an integrated care team.

• Ability to adapt therapeutic approaches across age groups, from young children to older adults.

• Ability to manage a diverse and complex behavioral health caseload.

• Ability to deliver high-quality care in both in-person and virtual/telehealth environments.

• Ability to maintain professionalism, clinical boundaries, and composure in high-pressure situations.


JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Active Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in the State of Texas.

• Experience treating pediatric patients, including children under 10 years of age (preferred).

• Experience with behavioral health conditions including, but not limited to: ADHD, PTSD,

depression, anxiety disorders, and TBI-related behavioral health needs (required).

• Experience or formal exposure to TBI-related behavioral health care (preferred).

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an integrated, team-based care model
